how do i stop my chihuahua from marking my boyfriend's things?
i have a 5 year old intact chihuahua male who has taken to marking on my boyfriend's things, peeing on my bed if he's locked up for the day and the bed is left unmade (if the bed was made he seems to leave it alone, not sure if this is because it's then flat) or getting up on my computer desk and marking on my computer monitor. i take him out in the morning, when i get home and before bed, but he still manages to urinate everywhere in a "spiteful" fashion. i say this because once we come across the place he has marked, even without reacting to it he seems to "know" he did something bad and will immediately skulk off to a corner. i've tried training him to go indoors either peeing in the bath tub or a litter box which lasts for a short while then he finds some new corner to go instead. i'm at odds and it's becoming an issue with the boyfriend (same person for 5 months) this same sort of thing occurred with my boyfriend of 4 years after a few months of us living together.

Seems your dog is not only confused where he is allowed to urinate, he is showing his dominance. Why is he not neutered, do you breed? If a dog is not bred Every 6 mos it can cause sexual frustration. He should be fixed asap. He is urinating on your boyfriends stuff because he is showing dominance of him and marking his claimed territory. Your dog in his eyes is the boss. I suggest you get some good training info. Either by book or by taking classes. You should keep him confined when not supervised. If you need him to relieve himself inside try one of those fake grass potty mats. At least he will know he is allowed to go there. Right now he rules the house , its up to you to teach him otherwise.

Get him fixed and chances are your problem will be solved. If you're 100% not willing to get him fixed you'll have to monitor him at all times. Crated when you're out, he must stay in the room with you when you're at home (either with barricades or on a leash).

Neutering would most likely solve the problem with marking, but if you don't want to do that then you should have him in a crate or a pen while no one is there to watch him. Crate training is a good tool to use (I did it with my dog). I agree that he is trying to show dominance over your boyfriend. He may feel that you belong to him (and not vice versa) which will mean the problem will persist until you set clear boundaries for him. If he thinks he owns you, then he also owns your house and all of your things. Make sure he knows that YOU are the master (not him). Seek the advice of your vet or a licensed trainer if he continues with this behavior. Also, some dogs can't hold their pee all day so you may want to consider having someone you trust take him out a couple times a day while you are at work if you can't make it home to do it yourself. Good luck with your marking problem. If you can't find the fake grass pad and choose to put him in a pen then get puppy training pads.
