How do I deal with my neighbors aggressive dogs?

My yard and my neighbors yard is separated by a chain link fence. Knowing that our dogs don't get along we always check to make sure that their dogs are not in the yard before we let ours out. Here lately they have been leaving their back door standing wide open all the time so that when our dogs go outside their dogs come running out. Their dogs are quite aggressive and can reach through the chain link and bite our dogs. They haven't done any serious damage but they have drawn blood on my american staffordshire terrier three times in the last two weeks. Is there anything we can legally do to make this stop?

Is the fence yours or the neighbors? I know you can go to some place like Lowes or Home Depot and they sell this slates that you can weave in and out of the chain link fence so that they can not see through it or get through it. The other thing would be to put up a privacy fence so that the dogs could not see each other. Just a couple of ideas, i know neither of them real cheap. I wish you the best with your problem. and home others have some more advice for you.

There's many different things you can do.

1). You can put a tarp over your chain link fence to block off the view of the other dog. You would have to strap the tarp to the top of your fence and to the bottom of your fence.

2). Build a new fence. I recommend building a fence where the dogs can't see each other such as a wooden fence, vinyl fence or putting up a wall.

3). You can get a fence cover to put over your fence. Search "fence cover" and it'll come right up and you can look through Google Images to see if that's what you're looking for.

4). Plant trees/bushes in between the fence so that the dogs can't see each other.

5). You can get a privacy slat to put over your fence.

6). You can get a privacy screen to put over your fence.
