You should not give Benadryl -D, because of the decongestent in it. It is harmful to pets. However, you can give plain diphenhydramine-HCI. Which is also benadryl but not harmful for dogs.

Ren II

Diphenhydramine is fine, the dosage is 1mg per pound of body weight.
