Dog seems stiff and achy
Toby went in for his Dhlpp on Tuesday and this weekend he seems a little stiff. Otherwise he is completely normal, he is eating, drinking, playing, walking, running and going to the bathroom, he just looks like he is a little uncomfortable all the time. I am just wondering if it is from the shot and if it is common. He seemed fine for the first day or so after the shot but now he looks stiff. If he is still like this on Monday when the vet is open again I will probably call but for now I would just like to hear if anyone else has experienced this. Please no answers about not vaccinating, I have read up on it and decided to vaccinate as long as my dogs have no serious reactions.

That is the most responsible thing to do as a pet owner is to get your animals vaccinated. I think it's stupid when pol refuse to get their animals vaccinated. The animal will have a higher chance of getting distemper, hepatitis, parainfluenza, and parvovirus if they don't get vaccinated. The vaccines builds up their immune system and protects them from these viruses.
Anyways the dhpp side effects can occur from 30 minutes to up to one week after vaccines. These are the side effects: discomfort and swelling of the injection site (for dhpp injection site is between the shoulder blades), Mild fever, decreased appetite & activity, lameness(rare), and lethargic. Those are the symptoms I know of for dhlpp. I would definitely call the vet on Monday.

I have had dogs be sore after a shot , but this seems to be hanging on a bit to far. Yes i think the vet visit is a good idea.
