just means he's getting old and is easily tired. Humans do this too, my grandma nods off in her chair all the time!
I don't think this is a medical problem unless he has other symptoms too.

Nibbles

Sounds adorable to us. We've seen a pug puppy do this. Ginger is right. We've wirness our humans "cat-napping" sitting up. Usually in our comfy recliner.

♥ DEOGIE ♥

I've seen young dogs, cats, kids and yes my Grandpa fall asleep while sitting up. Deogie has been known to get a little sleepy eyed while sitting beside me after a long day.
I wouldn't worry about it, your dog is just taking a little rest from the world. I would just make sure s/he isn't sitting somewhere falling asleep where s/he could fall and hurt him/herself. S/he may become a little unsteady drifting off.

Dunkin

I have seen dogs do this that were not old, I do not think it is anything to worry about.
