dog grooming

I have just qualified as a groomer and have a mobile salon. Im not sure which is best, to get the owner to bring the dog into the van, or me to carry the dog in. As im now working entirely alone, the last two dogs i had to take in on a lead (too heavy to carry) and when i closed the van door they panicked, which knocked my confidence as i then had to lift them on to the table etc
