I would take him to the vet. That could mean something is wrong. Kali did that when she became very sick.

Vet, please! This could be diabetes, as 1 person mentioned, but it could also be kidney issues. If you're in a HOT area, can you bring her indoors and watch to see if she continues the behavior? If she IS an indoor dog & doing this, forget the computer & make a vet app't ASAP!

As others have mentioned, it's vet time.

Things like kidney disease, diabetes and even heart disease can cause this kind of behavior, so it's important to rule all these things out.

They all have treatments, some are easy and include changing food and exercise, others are shorter term. If your dog has any of these conditions, though, one thing they have in common is that they will absolutely, positively progress to death unless you get the dog treated.

You may find out he has something else entirely or that he's simply hotter in the summer. But if there is something else going on, you must get it diagnosed and treated.
