does anyone know how to put a value on a therapy dog?
i have a dog prescribed to me for severe depression and loss of my legs due to neuropathy. this dog has been to many nursing homes with me since i was able to walk again after finding Lyrica that has helped leg pain. After entrusting someone that I thought was my friend to take care of this dog, he changed his name on rabies tag and when my dog was out he was hurt and this so called friend was called and has had my dog since early Feb. Never called me to notify me Grasshopper was ok or even alive. Mourned his death for almost 2 months and found out he had been taking my dog to the nursing home I used to take him. I have since found out I can't get my dog of 5&1/2 years without civil warrant and need to know what value to put on this warrant to get my dog back. PLEASE help me!!!

I don't know where you live, but google service dogs or service dog training in your area, there should be an estimate on there how much training cost or how much they would charge to provide a dog. That way you have some sort of proof how you came up with that number.
Here's a website that has states listed, it may be a place to start. wolfpacks.com
good luck
