Carpal Subluxation or downed pasterns?

I have a new German Shepherd puppy that is about 13 weeks old. He is a big boy, but I have noticed that he is really down in the pasterns. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with this? I am just looking for any extra tips on the matter.

Currently, I have put Lycan on a lower protein food. He gets 1000 mg of vitamin c, 800 units vitamin e, 1 selenium tablet, and glucosamine/chondroiton (sp?) jerky treats each day.

I have read that adding magnesium helps too...and Maalox 200 mg 2X aday...I have not started these yet, as I am unsure of dosages. I will be calling my vet too, but I am really just desperate to know that I am not alone in this!

Any tips, advice, references...anything! Would be greatly appreciated.
