Can canned dog food be used as a treat?

Moxie loves her some canned dog food. Is there anything wrong with giving it to her as a treat as well as a meal?

Yes, it sure can. Sometimes I'll buy a can of dog food and give it to my dogs and they love it. I recommend feeding all natural and organic dog food. There's nothing wrong with feeding canned dog food as a treat or as a meal.

When I buy canned dog food I'll make the dogs a frozen treat. I'll get a tablespoon full of canned dog food and put it onto a plate and put one of their favorite treats on top of the treat and sometimes put a little kibble onto the sides of the wet dog food and freeze it until solid.

We use canned food as a treat too! We absolutely love it! We also freeze it sometimes so that its not so messy! Are favorite is Nutro Natural Choices Herring Meal. Its yummy!
