If they have fleas or allergies. Maybe if they have nerve system problems too. I'd recommend seeing the vet if that is what your dog is doing.

No. Scratching and biting at the hind end is not something that is a breed characteristic. How often does your dog do this? Occasional scratching or biting is okay - your dog may have an itch. If it is a constant behavior, I would take your guy to the vet because it could be something medical.

My peke does the same thing! what breeder did Gizmo come from? Cute! I am very worried about my puppy, Cookie. I keep reading that it may be alergies... Please let me know if your vet gave you any answers.
