are english bull terriers illegal in ireland??? can someone tell me quick because im looking to buy one in a few months

They are only banned if you live in a council housing. You need to do A LOT of research on the bull terrier (as they are not a first time owner dog) and where in ireland they are accepted and banned.

I don't believe they're banned in Ireland. Check with your local laws. I also recommend that you check with your home insurance company because many home insurance companies have banned the English Bull Terrier. You can always change your home insurance to an English Bull Terrier friendly one.

Do your research on English Bull Terriers. They are great dogs but tend to fall in the hands of the wrong people.

Honestly? With everything that has been happening in Belfast with Lennox (bulldog/lab mix) being put down because he had physical attributes of a pitbull, I would be VERY careful in purchasing a dog like the English Bull. Make sure he becomes licensed, insured, and try to obtain his AKC Canine Good Citizen certificate (an obedience test) if you can. It's tough, but I would be careful. I would hate to lose my dog because of discriminating laws.
