They love to follow their noses. They need exercise and things to do. But, they make great family pets. Good Luck!

They can be kind of hard to train. Not because they are dumb, but because they have a mind of their own like most hounds. They also have been known to get so fixed on the trail of something they have found with their nose. That they can almost blank out the rest of the world. You may waznt to make sure you have a good fence. They also can be diggers. Good luck with the new dog.
