Anyone ever seen a Sibe with colorings like mine? I was told I am purebred but I am having doubts as I look different.
I've just never seen another Siberian Husky with spots on their legs like mine. I've done a lot of searching on the net with my Dad looking for similar colored Sibes. Not that it matters. I am a wonderful dog and my Dad wouldn't trade me for the world.
Any info would be appreciated.

Hmm...the only dog i could think of right when i saw her spots was Australian cattle dog.

According to breed standards it DOES say that Sibes can be any coloring... [of what I know, I've always digged mutts so never got too much into exactly how a breed is supposed to look, haha] It is a little odd to see speckles like that.....possibly an odd color-mutation [This is how the "Panda Shepherd" was developed.... www1.dogbreedinfo.com ] But it also is possible that there was another breed involved.... Lyla's ears also look a bit big for your average Sibe... I'm thinking perhaps a drop of Kelpie or Cattle Dog is in there?
However,I have also seen a couple of purebred Sibes that were spitting images of my Shasta.... tan with black saddle and had half-flopped ears.
She's a truly stunning dog, definitely won't find one like her for another lifetime or two! ;)

I've seen Siberian Huskies (purebred) that look exactly like Lyla. However, she does look like a Siberian Husky/Australian Kelpie mix.
