American Staffy, 11yrs old, desexed from puppy,with fat lumps,drinking lots of water

I have a american staffy, desexed as puppy was a freebie. she is 11yrs old now, and has lumps which were told are fat lumps, she is predigree, but have only had mongrel dogs all my married life 44yrs, she has stared drinking a lot of water laterly and sleeping a lot, but still can run around like a puppy when she wants too, we haveing seen a vet, as thinking it might be old are comming on, she has never been sick since we have had her
Can you please advise me to what might be wrong with her,we live in Queensland,central coastline,
