1 year old female dog seems to have lost bladder control.
I hope someone can help me. I have really unreliable vets that are never able to diagnose anything and are also very rude so I thought I'd try here first.
My 1 year old female (spayed) dog was potty
trained in the first month that I had her and has had maybe 3 accidents total since then, all by the door (my fault).
Then yesterday, I came home to find she had peed not once but twice in the house after only being left alone for 4 hours. I'm in and out of the house all day on weekdays, and since then she has peed every single time I've left the house... 4 or 5 times. Sometimes for less than an hour.
Not only that, but she peed in her kennel last night which has never happened. Not even when she was a tiny puppy.
She has no other symptoms no discharge around privates, not licking at herself, poops are normal and she goes outside. Pee looks/smells normal. She acts completely normal.
What is going on?? Does this sound like a medical issue or a training issue? What do I do??

Yeah, sounds like a UTI (urinary tract infection) or something.
Are there any other vets you can use? From the sounds of it, I wouldn't give the vets you mentioned the time of day unless absolutely necessary.

I also think it sounds like a UTI? I would find a new vet and take her in. Antibiotics will clear it up. Good Luck!
