Did you ask about massage? Massaging along his spine will help keep the muscles loosened up and help not pinch off any nerves. I have used PETfection Joint Massage Oil on my dog for her hips and lower back and really like it. It is 100% Organic and Non Toxic and is designed for dogs with arthritic hips, pulled muscles and tendons, etc. Might be worth a shot at keeping him comfortable!
