The beautiful province of Manitoba is home to more than 100,000 lakes—that means there are so many beaches and swimming areas to choose from! But spending the day at the beach should also include your best friend.
Several beaches don’t permit dogs, so it’s important to know where you are allowed to take your pet. We dug up 13 dog-friendly beaches in Manitoba; some feature off-leash areas, and others only allow on-leash dogs. Hopefully, you will find a gorgeous beach nearby for both of you to enjoy!

Final Thoughts
Visiting a provincial park can be one of the best ways to spend time with your dog. Beyond relaxing at the beach, you can take your pup for hikes through the beautiful forests of Manitoba.
Just remember to bring supplies with you, both for your dog and for the park, including plenty of poop bags, extra water, snacks, toys, and a leash!

Kathryn was a librarian in a previous lifetime and is currently a writer about all things pets. When she was a kid, she hoped to work in a zoo or with wildlife in some way, thanks to her love for animals. Unfortunately, she's not strong in the sciences, so she fills her days with researching and writing about all kinds of animals and spends time playing with her adorable but terribly naughty tabby cat, Bella. Kathryn is hoping to add to her family in the near future – maybe another cat or two and a dog.
