What Is a Haiku, Anyway?

Haikus are traditionally unrhyming poems consisting of 17 syllables spread across three lines. The first and last lines of the poem contain five syllables, while the middle line has seven. This short-form poetry originated in Japan during the 17th century.

Haikus do not need to follow standard grammar rules we are used to applying in our writing. So, embrace your creativity!
