Revolutionary Features for Dog Health and Happiness

If you’re a dog owner, you’ll likely know that dogs are experts at hiding pain, illness, or discomfort, making early detection challenging. Tractive’s latest tracker addresses this issue with advanced monitoring tools designed to identify potential health and behavioral issues before they become apparent to dog parents.

One standout feature is Bark Monitoring, which provides insights into a dog’s barking patterns while the owner is away. This can help pinpoint behavioral issues like separation anxiety, enabling timely intervention. It also has an enhanced design with sleek aesthetics and dual LED bars for night visibility. with sleek aesthetics and dual LED bars for night visibility and extended battery life.

Later this year, Tractive will introduce Heart and Respiratory Rate Monitoring, further advancing its health-tracking capabilities. This feature analyzes a dog’s resting vitals and compares them to both the dog’s baseline and data from thousands of similar dogs. By offering alerts when changes occur, it provides invaluable health insights. As Dr. Emily Crawford, veterinarian and owner at Waterbury Veterinary Hospital in Vermont, explains:

“Resting heart rate and respiratory rate are vital signs that veterinarians use to monitor the health and physiologic status of pets. Changes in these vitals occur with activity, excitement, disease, and stress, and having a way to monitor these at home can be very useful. Tractive’s monitoring technology provides pet owners with a simple and non-invasive way to track these parameters at home, alerting owners to potential changes in their pet’s health status.”

Unlike traditional monitoring devices, Tractive’s tracker features an internal sensor that measures vitals without requiring external attachments or irritating electrode pins. This ensures a seamless and comfortable experience for dogs, and peace of mind for their parents knowing they are using non-invasive technology

A Complete Approach to Pet Tracking

Tractive’s new dog tracking device goes beyond health and behavior monitoring, offering a comprehensive suite of features:

  • Real-Time GPS Tracking: Provides live updates to track a dog’s location in the case of a wanderer or lost pup.
  • Virtual Fences and Escape Alerts: Sends immediate notifications when a dog leaves a designated safe zone or enters a no-go zone.
  • Activity and Sleep Monitoring: Delivers insights into daily movement and rest patterns.
  • Long-lasting: This new dog tracker has extended battery life, ensuring the tracker is always ready to perform.

Available for $69.99, the tracker requires a subscription for cellular connectivity, with plans starting at $5 per month.

Designed for Peace of Mind

“Our latest Dog GPS and Health tracker offers pet owners a deeper understanding of their furry friends’ well-being,” says Michael Hurnaus, CEO of Tractive. “Dogs can’t communicate discomfort or pain, and they’re often experts at masking it. This device acts as their voice, providing early alerts that can prompt timely veterinary care. Tractive will never replace a veterinarian or vet visit, but it will inform the pet parent about changes worth keeping an eye on or discussing with your vet.”

Its early detection features will ensure you get to a vet in good time to help ensure a longer, happier, and healthier life for your pup.=

Additional Features and Partnerships

Tractive’s new tracker includes several other notable features:

  • LIVE Tracking
  • Location History
  • Danger Reports: Notifies pet owners of hazards such as ticks, coyotes, or flooding rivers. This community-driven feature sends over 6,000 alerts daily and allows users to add dangers to an interactive map.

Additionally, Tractive is a proud partner of the Humane Society of the United States. Through their collaboration on the “More than a Pet” campaign, they aim to provide resources and support for the over 20 million pets living in poverty in the United States.

Tractive’s new dog tracker, showcased at CES 2025, promises to be a game-changer for pet owners seeking to safeguard their pets’ health and happiness.
