Dr. Susan Bohrer has been a practicing integrative veterinarian for 15 years teaching food therapy and home cooking to dog owners. Dr. Bohrer is Certified in Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine, (TCVM) Herbal Therapy, Acupuncture and Food Therapy. Dr. Bohrer provides an integrative approach to whole food nutrition for dogs supported by the principles of Food Therapy because Food is the Medicine we take every day!
Dr. Susan Bohrer has been a practicing integrative veterinarian for 15 years teaching food therapy and home cooking to dog owners. Dr. Bohrer is Certified in Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine, (TCVM) Herbal Therapy, Acupuncture and Food Therapy. TCVM Food Therapy chooses each ingredient for its specific healing properties to warm, cool, or hydrate the body and even target the well-being of specific organs.
After seeing the benefits of real food meals based on Food Therapy principles in her patients, she formulated Chi Dog meals: cooked, balanced real food meals to protect against chronic disease and naturally support the GI microbiome and Spleen Qi. She endeavors to avoid pro-inflammatory, processed foods, after all, Food is our bodies’ First Medicine.
