Second Chance Humane Society is a 501c3 non profit all volunteer organization created to help the many abandoned pets (primarily dogs and cats) in our area find shelter and new forever homes. Most of our animals have been found by good Samaritans who bring them to us, or from pet owners who need to surrender their pets for various reasons.

Located on 45 acres 3 miles east of New Albany, the vision of the owners for Kennel Club USA was to have a single facility where their Champion show dogs could exercise, be properly trained, be professionally groomed, and board without anxiety and stress. They wanted a peaceful, park-like setting away from highways, busy intersections, and urban congestion.
