Western New York Shiba Rescue strives to save the abandoned Shiba Inu that was for whatever reason abandoned. We do this by accepting surrenedered Shibas, accepting applications for adoption, and screening potential adoptive, forever, loving homes. There is also our own web site located at www.WNYShibaRescue.com that display animals that have been adopted and are presently awaiting a loving home. There is an application for anyone willing to assist in the rescue of the Shiba Inu. This volunteer work includes driving animals from their place of surrender to safety, fostering animals temporarilty, networking, and donating to the animal care effort. We work closely with local agencies of rescue and also with the Animal Control Center in Manhattan and the ASPCA in NYC. We always welcome assistance of any kind.
