We are a small, all breed, home based, non-profit rescue dedicated to saving dogs from high kill shelters. All of our dogs are evaluated & housed in a home environment. They are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on immunizations & heartworm tested. They are on current heartworm, flea & tick prevention. Adopting a friendWe make every effort to match our dogs to the appropriate forever family. It is not always a "first come, first serve" adoption process. We are honest about any issues they may have and what they will need to adjust to your home. The FIRST step is completing an adoption application & emailing it to us. We will then arrange a home visit & a "meet & greet" with the dog and all members of their potential family. You will receive an adoption contract prior to the adoption for your review. Click here for an adoption application. or please email us for one at beagleboys@roadrunner.comThere is a non-refundable adoption donation for the rescue as a whole to enable us to continue in our efforts to save the forgotten and provide needed medical care. If for any reason, after an appropriate adjustment period, you need to give the dog up, we require they be returned to us. We will adopt out of state & to Canada but it may take longer to arrange a home visit and transportation. We are not funded by any group or agency, we rely on minimal private donations. Our money comes out of our own pocket & our adoption donations go straight to the Vet to help pay off our high bill. PLEASE SEND DONATIONS FOR OUR RESCUE DOGS TO: Please consider adopting a dog from a shelter or rescue group. Do not buy from pet stores or puppy mills. Check out rescues & breeders carefully. They should require an adoption application, reference checks, an adoption contract & an adoption donation. The dogs should be altered & up to date on immunizations, heartworm checked & in good health. If you want a specific breed, go to www.AKC.org website, find the breed you are interested in & go to their rescue page. An excellent website to look at is here: http://www.crlne.org/storiesquotesandfyis/ . This is a great information page about adopting a shelter dog. THERE IS NOTHING MORE WARMING TO THE HEART THAN A COLD, WET NOSE.
