We are an entirely new group. We decided to form a rescue to help out animals from the south. Just like the northeast, the south is overwhelmed with unwanted animals. However, unlike the northeast, the south has very few rescues that are capable of helping. Why not me was created to help out where help is needed. We are very small so our resources are limited but we do all that we can to save as many lives as possible. Our volunteers have all sorts of backgrounds. Some are dog trainers, while others don't have any 'official' experience in rescues. The one common thread is that everyone loves animals and will do anything in their power to help them. If you send us an email PLEASE be patient and give us a reasonable amount of time to reply to you. We do have jobs, foster animals, our own animals and even family members. So we do try to get to everything in a timely fashion but have a heart. :-)
