Top-Rated Emergency Services
Emergency Services 6430 Lawrenceville Hwy Tucker, GA 30084 Mission Statement
DeKalb-Gwinnett Animal Emergency Clinic is a full service state-of-the-art veterinary emergency and critical care facility that treats veterinary patients on an emergency basis. Our goal is to provide the absolute best medical and surgical care of your animals during the hours your regular veterinarian is closed. We do not accept any appointments and treat cases as timely as possible based on the apparent extent of the emergency. We do not offer vaccinations, flea control, or other routine veterinary care, and encourage all clients to contact their regular veterinarian for these services. When we close it is the responsibility of the animal's owner to pick up their animal(s) and transfer them to their regular veterinarian directly from the emergency clinic by 8:00am at the latest Monday-Thursday.
We feel it is important to see patients as timely as possible and we do all that we can to keep the wait to a minimum. During our peak hours it is normal to expect to wait up to 1-2 hours according to the extent of the emergencies in the hospital. Please be patient if you have to wait- remember we are treating many emergencies and will do our best to see your animal as soon as possible.
The emergency clinic works closely with your regular veterinarian to provide the best possible care for your animals. We fax a copy of the entire record, including blood work, to your regular veterinarian and send radiographs and a copy of the record with you to take to your regular veterinarian. Unfortunately, we are unable to refill prescriptions or give medications that you received from your regular veterinarian unless your regular veterinarian contacts the emergency clinic or you bring the animal in for an emergency visit.
Please remember to bring any pertinent information, including records and medications that may help us in treating your animal.
