Hendry's Beach at Cliff Drive and Las Positas is an off leash dog park with trash cans and doggie poop bags readily available. You can walk a loop of that beach heading south, go up the steps at Mesa Lane Beach and find yourself at the top of the bluffs on the Wilcox Property (AKA Douglas Preserve) which is also off leash friendly, with trash cans and poop bags available. the Wilcox Property/Douglas Preserve is a series of trails along the clifftop bluffs with 180 degree ocean views.

Lemos is a great pet store. Staff are always happy to special order something for you and the staff is all very pit bull friendly and are quite informed about the breed. They do carry outs to your car and enjoy spending time visiting with both their customers AND their dogs. Mine always collects lots of pets and treats while there. They are also one of the only stores to carry Wellness brand food in our area. They have dog biscuits on the counter and you can bring your dog into the store. They also have another location in Goleta on Patterson.

Private Park. home to the Elings Park Dog Owners Group (EPDOG), which supervises the Park's off-leash permit program. For an annual fee of $60 per dog, owners of dogs licensed in Santa Barbara County may purchase a tag that permits off-leash recreation at the Park. Participants are asked to sign a Code of Conduct; in return, they have the pleasure of off-leash activity in a safe, well-maintained park. Orcutt Park is a long narrow park that runs along Alameda Padre Serra up above the mission. It is a de facto off leash allowed park. Many dogs and responsible owners are there right after work around 5 PM. The dogs there are usually pretty well socialized and respond to voice commands well.

Alison is a dog walker who is kind and loving with the dogs, while remaining firm and in control. She prefers to walk on leash until she really knows the dog, then if she's comfortable enough, she'll take them on trail hikes. She works primarily weekends but some evenings also.

Dogs are not officially allowed here and are explicitly not allowed during school hours. This secondary baseball and practice field is entirely fenced and has two trash cans, but no disposal bags. There are two baseball diamonds facing each other and open lawn in between them. Great for using the Chuck it or for doggie playdates. Evenings and weekends are the times to be here and always clean up after your dog since it is on school grounds. There are also 6 connected tennis courts right next to this field that are lit at night and can allow for off leash running once you close all the outside doors. Great for labs who love to chase tennis balls. Bring your racket and go to town!
