The Kearney Mansion was the home of M. Theo Kearney. It was constructed in the early 1900s. Kearny was a key Fresno land developer and agricultural leader. When he passed away in 1906, he donated his entire 5000 acre estate to the University of California. Thus 220 acres were developed into Kearny Park.
