Dog Parks & Dog Runs Silverado Trail and Route 29 Calistoga, CA 94515 A beautiful and rare public hike in wine country (land's pretty pricey up here.) Dogs need to be on leash or under excellent voice command. The trail is open to mountain bikers and it popular with hikers too, so consider a leash as protection for your dog as much as anything else.
The trail head is at the intersection of Silverado Trail and Route 29, just north of downtown Calistoga.

All rooms are studio, meaning your pawed pal can step outside at anytime. There's a great pool (4 actually), complimentary cruiser bikes, and as needs to be, a superb spa. It's minutes from downtown Calistoga on Silverado Trail.
It's not inexpensive, but if you go in the off season (late fall to mid-spring) it's significantly cheaper.
It's an extra $75 fee per visit to bring a dog. I'm not sure if cats are allowed, but everyone has been very friendly.
