Ritz Carlton hotels have a long history of providing luxurious vacation experiences for their guests. With all the amenities and perks, you’re guaranteed to experience a relaxing and comfortable stay when you book with Ritz Carlton. Fortunately, many Ritz Carlton hotels are pet-friendly and accommodate dogs, so you and your dog can enjoy a luxurious vacation together.

Just keep in mind that each Ritz Carlton hotel has its own pet policy. So, make sure to ask the specific hotel you plan to stay in about their pet policy to ensure your dog is able to accompany you during your stay.

General Ritz Carlton Pet Policy

There are over 100 Ritz Carlton hotels located in over 30 different countries and territories, and many of them welcome cats and dogs. The locations that accommodate dogs have varying pet policies regarding pet fees and pet weight limits. For the most part, Ritz Carltons allow up to two pets weighing no more than 25 pounds each, but some locations do have higher weight limits.

The pet fee is typically non-refundable, and the amount is set by location. You can expect to pay anywhere between $150 to $250 per stay in pet fees. Ritz Carlton hotels typically charge per stay rather than per night, and the amount is usually higher for hotels that are located in larger cities with higher living costs.

Accommodations for Dogs Staying at a Ritz Carlton Hotel

For the most part, Ritz Carlton hotels are ideal for small to medium-sized dogs that weigh less than 25 pounds. Most Ritz Carltons that welcome dogs have pet food bowls and a bed available upon request.

Dogs are only allowed to be unleashed in their hotel rooms. They must be leashed or inside their carriers whenever you walk with your dog throughout the rest of the hotel. Some hotels have a designated pet relief area, while others require you to walk a certain distance away from the hotel property when your dog needs a potty break. Fortunately, most pet-friendly Ritz Carltons are located near parks and other areas that dogs will enjoy visiting. So, it’s easy to take your dog on a leisurely walk and ensure that they get plenty of exercise.

It’s also important to note that most Ritz Carlton hotels don’t allow pets to be left unattended in their hotel rooms. If you schedule activities that don’t allow dogs, you must find appropriate services, like a dog daycare, that can care for your dog while you’re away. You can usually find these types of services by asking the Ritz Carlton’s concierge desk service.

Conclusion

Ritz Carlton hotels are a viable option for people looking to travel with their dogs. Most Ritz Carltons will be ideal for smaller dogs that fit their size and weight limits. Since each Ritz Carlton hotel has individualized pet policies, it’s best to contact the specific hotel you’re interested in and inquire about its most up-to-date pet policy. Once you have this information, you can finalize your booking and plan accordingly to ensure your dog is well taken care of throughout your entire trip.
