My sweet baby Dexter was only nine month's old. He was hit by a car this morning, he broke his back and his neck. I was awoken by screaming saying that Dexter is dead. I ran outside and scooped him out of the road. It was absolutely horrible. I was screaming the whole time, I can't even explain how bad this hurts.
He is my best friend. We did everything together. He loved going on a car ride with me to take his sister to school and he waited on her when she got off the bus.
I am trying to be strong, just this was so unexpected. To be waken up to my dog in the road and me having to run out there and scoop him up then watch him die in my arms. I cannot even begin to explain how that feels
I have literally been crying for 8 hours. I am in so much pain.
