im so sorry. I also have a service (in training) pug I have severe depression and having my boy around keeps me alert and foused. He has to be certified with a vest or bandana some way of them knowing he is a certified service dog and he can enter ANYWHERE!! Im sos orry for your loss. There is NO breed more special than the pug.

Although I have 7 dogs my last 3 are Pugs and a pug mix. Once I got my first pug Harley I could care less about any other breed of dog. Actually Im what you'd call a Pug-a-Holic. I used to literally have a LIST of dog breeds I wanted to own in my life time but once I got my pugs that list went through the paper shredder way to go I am pugged forever!!

I am a Pug lover FOREVER!! I know a lot of people like me but also a lot not. There are the friendly happy go lucky owners that just love hanging out with other pugs and owners there are the super rescue hippie dont like anyone that isnt a part of their click people. I like to think Im the happy outgoing pug loving people loving kind of person.

Pugs are just happy dogs that love to be anywhere you are. People say they are lazy HA! The only lazy pugs Ive ever met are the seniors. My pugs love going anywhere I do snow beach park camping hiking whereever. They just cant handle HOT heat anything above 80 is uncomfortable anything above 90 is just NOT pug friendly weather. They LOVE all other dogs people and are just all around happy easy to handle dogs. Who wouldnt love them. I will have Pugs FOREVER!

They teqnically are a small Akita. It goes Shiba Inu, Akita, Jindo in size. Just different sizes of the same breed. I dont have one but a while back i was looking into the breed and read a lot about them and got to know some breeders. From what I understand they are VERY cat like. Clean and like to do what they want to do when they want to do it.

I was also told they can NEVER EVER be let or trusted off leash. The few I have met are also fierdly protective of their owners. And I have met one as small as 15 lbs full grown and as large as 40 lbs full grown. I have also heard they can be iffy with other dogs and not good with cats.

I dont own one and I dont have any good friends with them so dont quote me on this. But they are GORGEOUS! I'd name one Foxy if I had one. big grin

Yes, the shedding is annoying, but it's nothing compared to dealing with a life without my dogs

COMPLETLEY AGREED!

Tanuk and Pippin I LOVE your replies! LOL And my dogs are fed a home cooked diet. NO kibble. I feed a vet recommended home cooked food. It varies from chicken to beef lamb turkey etc. Before when I was feeding kibble it was TWICE what it is now. But even with brushing feeding good food and missing link I still get AT LEAST a dyson FULL of hair every day! I'll have to try the fish oil thanks! Keep the suggestions coming! hail
