They are eating TOTW pacific... the last time they were on it they started smelling fishy so maybe that's why they are smelly lately.. but i just bought a big bag so they will finish it! haha.

They have eaten natural balance for a while b/c of Lila Rae's allergy issues so it's easier to keep them on the same food.

Tippi will eat Wellness.

I was thinking of trying Canidae next.

Grooming > doggie odor- good shampoo?
Lila Rae

I'm currently using the tropiclean oxy med shampoo for my 3 girls (all chihuahuas) and lately I've noticed that they come in from outside just smelling terribly! I'm pregnant, so I know my nose is more sensitive than normal, but I'm looking for a good shampoo that maybe could keep the odor away at least until their weekly baths?

Two of them are short haired and seem to smell worse than my long haired chi.

Any advice would be great. : )

We vary a bit on how we buy so I will use the latest month. We got the girls a 15 lb bag of natural balance and used a 5 dollar off coupon, so that was 31 dollars. Tippi also gets canned but I have recently started freezing at least half of the can and that is lasting her a while. Can food was 89 cents (dogswell). They also get salmon oil 26 dollars, vitamin E tablets 6 dollars, and pumpkin-which I also break up and freeze. They also get treats but I don't buy them every month.

SO I'd say around 30 to 50 bucks every 1.5 month to 2 months. The increase is for when I buy more than one brand of food-one for Tippi and Harley and one for Lila Rae.

Tippi 13.7 lbs
Harley 2.8 lbs
Lila Rae 4.8

Dog Health > How to tell someone their dog is too skinny?

I have seen several very young doxies and they have been skinny! Don't know if it's common for the breed while they are growing. Maybe some owners could chime in. I always think Lila is too skinny and Harley is tubby but my vet says they are both at a good weight! laugh out loud

Next time I see them, I would probably talk to the doggie and say hey skinny minny! Maybe he will catch the hint?

Lila's eyes do that sometimes too. I think it's pollen as she doesn't seem to be bothered by it.

We are so sad to hear about both you and malty being Sick. We hope that BOTH of you get well soon and can have a happy life together. It is so hard to watch our fur kids suffer. We are all praying for you guys and your family.

Tippi was 8 lbs at 6 months and is now 13 lbs.

Harley was 2 lbs or a little less at 7 months and really didn't grow much after that. She is now 2.8 lbs.

Lila Rae was 3 lbs at 6 months and weighs in at right under 5 lbs.

The girls' bowls are raised. When Lila Rae and Harley were younger and ate off the floor, their back legs would actually come off the ground a bit haha.

That's what I've been doing and since a lot of dogsters dogs are having issues w/ allergens I was assuming environmental stuff. We've been doing a lot outside and she's been in different grasses and stuff.

Thanks!!!wink
