A high quality , high protien puppy food is a good idea , but first I would make sure you covered the bases Jaxon outlined as well> Eagle Pack makes a great high protien kibble > It's meant for highly active dogs . And the extra protien will put on the weight.

No problems , Other than scaring the h__l out of me the first time he tried to cough one up . And our vet says that dogs can indeed get hairballs . We add a tablespoon of mineral oil in his food and it seems to help .

Titer tests tell you the level of imunity . When this level drops below a certain level you vaccinate to boost it.

Dr. Jean Dodds is one of the most respected canine immunoligists in the world. Our vet swears by her on vaccination protocols. We Titer test between vaccination years.

Eli also does this. Must be a Nordic dog thing . . . did you know that the Pomeranian is the smallest member of that family ? Eli ( Alaskan Malamute ) the largest .

May I suggest your friendfind another vet to start with. And get a second opinion on this. Alot of vefs include holistic care in thier treatments. Something as serious as this would make me get another opinion and I really like my vet.

It's not so much the size of thier ears as where they are located on thier head. A good example would be to check out Eli's pics and then look at our Sibe baby Mya's pics.

YES !!! Eli has sailed through obedience training . he will be starting advanced obedience next month . he responds well to both verbal and hand signals , on and off leash . Our trainer wants to possibly work with us on tracking as well . Mals are very bright and can learn anything . The biggest challenge is to keep them from getting bored. I keep it a " game " with Eli .

Just have your mom and dad keep an eye on your elbows and hips. They are gonna take more wear and tear with your larger size. x-rays every couple of yearsmight be a good idea. I'm more of an " standard " size " at 85 pounds. Either way , Mals are awesome!
