Bear I'm- one-of-a-kind!- :o)     Barked: Thu Sep 6, '07 7:04pm PST  Hi, all. We're going to be moving into an apartment within the next few weeks, and we have a problem. They allow pets, but will not tolerate excessive barking. Now, Bear barks when he wants attention, if there's a stranger/loose dog on our property, and if someone knocks on the door. Maggie barks at the jingle of dog collars, other dogs, knocking at the door, and at strangers. I understand the need to bark (Bear being 1/4 Rottie and 1/4 German Shep., and Maggie being a Min Pin, aka, the self proclaimed protector of the house). I've tried to stop their barking, but it doesn't seem to work. I've tried verbal commands ('stop' and 'no) and the squirt bottle (they LOVE water, unfortunately). The only other option that I was looking at would be citronella collars (unless another pup can suggest another idea?). I know pups are saying there's no Pit Bull in you, but if you take off your ears (BOL) in your main pic, and add Pittie ears, you kind of look like one (in my opinion). In the second picture on your page, you look like a Beagle or an American Foxhound. And in your third picture I see some Smooth Collie. When I saw your fourth picture, you looked like there was a stockier breed in you, so I thought a Labrador Retriever. So I'm guessing Am. ETA: She just got out of her fence, and I chased after her. I got her on a leash and brought her to our house for a "belly inspection". Bear I'm- one-of-a-kind!- :o)     Barked: Fri Jul 20, '07 5:39pm PST  Our neighbors have this gorgeous 2-3 year old Pittie named Gracie. She isn't spayed, and our across-the-street neighbors bring over two unaltered males (Lab/Hound and Rat terrier) for "playdates" almost every day. Their Lab mix steers clear of Gracie (he's scared of basically everything. It's pitiful. I'm not even sure why they bring him over there.), and I don't think the Rat Terrier is big enough to...you know what (maybe he could've though. Heck, Bear's dad was a Shih Tzu/Bichon, and his mom was a GSD/Rottie. So, I guess anything is possible ) Anywho, I noticed that today, Gracie has enlarged, er, mammary glands. She isn't getting a bigger belly, but I'm not sure if she's pregnant. Maybe she could just be in heat?? Any help here??
