Well...It looks like we may be switching to Fromm, BB or Earthborn. We have Orijen but it's like $42 for the medium bag!! $70+ for the big bag...I love it but I can't afford it! I may try some other food too...I've been thinking of trying Solid Gold too...*Sigh* Time to do some more research I guess...shrug

I just read that they are going to open their OWN manufacturing plant in Texas!cheer So no more Diamond manufacturing Canidae!! If you like it...I'd stick with it since now they are going to have their own plant. They plan on firing up the plant on Fri. and run some tests on it. It was announced on the FB Page for Canidae.

I wouldn't do chicken and rice as his only food source. That isn't a very balanced diet. It's good for a bland diet to help his digestive system recover for a bit.

It's a hit with this pack! Buddy and Sal rotate between all the flavors, with some home made toppers. Novie loves the Puppy formulas!! The coats are soft and shiny and stool is nice and small. Plus they have energy galore! Big thumbs up from this pack! hi5

Ok...I was just looking at Canine Caviar's website just to browse for fun and I found some contradicting info on their site!
This is the analysis for the LBP Food

Crude Protein 26.0 % min. **Omega 6 3.7 % min
Crude Fat 16.0 % min. **Omega 3 1.7 % min.
Crude Fiber 4.2 % max. **Taurine 0.10 % min.
Moisture 8.0 % max. Ash 10.2% max
Calcium 2.3% Sodium .32% Max

Phosphorus 2.0 % min

Notice the Cal/Ph Levels?!!! thinking

But when I look at the FAQ's this is what I see:

Q. I have heard that some high protein diets should not be fed to large breed puppies. How Come?

A. Research has shown that large breed puppies should not be fed a diet that is over 1.3 – 1.5% calcium or they run a significant risk of developing bone malformations. Many high protein diets on the market today are in excess of 1.5% Calcium. We do not recommend any large breed puppies be fed any of the high protein diets on the market today.
shock

When I Called them they didn't have an answer...WOW
They Said that they would e-mail me as soon as they find something out!!

I don't feed CC but I just thought that this was a lil strange...I'm just speechless at this point!

What are your thoughts on this?!!
