I just realized my supplement is calcium carbonate too. Is this a problem?

They are 9 and 10 lbs. what is the best calcium supplement I can buy (at Walmart?) and what would their daily dose be?

I'm new at this and can't find my answer. I ordered a multivitamin for dogs (animal essentials) it doesn't have calcium or phosphorus I believe so you can add your own.

Just wanted foul date, I forgot today was a holiday, obviously no vet today. Luckily her eye is back 100%
I wonder what was wrong still , I don't see anything on the eye. I used eyed tops several times yesterday maybe something was in it. Hopefully it doesn't come back thoughthinking

Well I ordered some 'kocci free' that is suppose to work up their immune system so they can protect themselves from bacteria like coccidia and giardia and everything in between. Hopefully this helps as I don't want to keep giving them flagyl for a long period of time and if they are going to keep getting it. I started D.E. as well.
I just added pumpkin to their food today. I did transition them from old to new food gradually.
The vet couldn't really tell me what kind of bacteria just a general bacteria.

I want to continue to feed the canned too but seeing as they had been sick I need to know exactly what their stools look like so I can determine if they get better and when to check it out with the vet again. It's good to know the canned shouldn't have an effect on it.
Thanks smile

Do loose stools result from feeding canned foods?

I am trying to figure the cause of their loose stools they went to the vet a few weeks ago and got put on antibiotic for bacteria.

They have loose stools again but I switched foods recently, and now feed canned as well. I'm wondering If they will always have loose BM's if I feed canned or maybe they need to be checked out again

I think my puppy may have scratched savvys eye. She is barely opening it and holds it do tight I can't see the bottom part.
It's Sunday and the only vet is the ER which is very expensive and about an hour away. I have put visene in her eye, at first thinking it was something in it.

Can this wait till tomorrow?? Will her eye be okay ?? She seems to be in a lot of pain over it.

I started using Fromm dry kibble and natures variety instinct canned. Usually for one meal they get some canned mixed with their kibble. Or one meal canned one dry. And I'm thinking about maybe mixing canned every meal. What are your thoughts? They have different protien sources. They are on fish Fromm and I have duck lamb and venison NV

I found this a good read. Informative on the why's and hows of all methods people are interested in. including no preventative use, safeheart doses, and the different types of prevention.

I don't know if it's been posted before but I haven't seen it, and it helped me smile
