I know there is the Basset Hound and Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen, but what other bassets are there? I believe the Grand Basset Griffon Vendeen qualifies as a basset breed.

Leticia was barking at another dog through the window, slipped off the window ledge, and broke her leg!

English Cocker Spaniels need extensive exercise, a lot of companionship, a lot of grooming, they shed like crazy, bark all the time, and the breed is prone to some very serious health problems.

I've found Labs to be low shedding dogs if fed a high quality diet. I feed Artemis, Acana, and Go Natural.

Labs are a high energy breed to begin with. They wont start to be calm and quiet until they reach about 10 years old, or they are extensively exercised.

Maybe some Chesapeake Bay Retriever or Golden Retriever. It's hard to tell because Labs can have white markings on their chest and the brindle markings on their feet, although this is uncommon.
