Please keep all responses fun, friendly and informative. smile

And remember what it says at the top of the page:

"This forum is for dog lovers seeking everyday advice and suggestions on health-related issues. Remember, however, that advice on a public forum simply can't be a substitute for proper medical attention. Only your vet can say assuredly what is best for your dog. "

I'm so very sorry to read about Rocky.cry

I know what you mean about not really believing they will let you know, and then they do. It is a blessing, and it hurts.

I send you love and support at this most difficult time.

To read he can't even lie down to rest breaks MY heart. I can't imagine what it must do to you.

I hope you can be at peace knowing you love him, and he is ready.hug

Just got back, $325 later...

His temperature was a little elevated at 102.5, but not too bad. Heart and lungs sound great. Ears perfect. Gums great. Eyes slightly bloodshot, but not as bad as Jenny, who was with us, freaking out. (she hates going to the vet).

He had a Chem 17 panel with Electrolytes, a fecal floatation and we are sending it off for a panel with giardia antigen too, just in case.

But the blood work shows true signs of stress. He has always been so sensitive to us, and now it is showing up physically.

He was given a Famotidine and Cerenia injection, and sent home with the Endurosyn plus some Sulfasalazine just in case.

He already feels better. Resting more comfortably than he has in the past couple of days.cloud 9

Thanks!

Well, now he has started to vomit, so we are going to the vet for a visit this morning. He is 9 now, and I'm worried....

I know the stress in the house hold can affect (effect? Can't ever rememeber which is correct) sensitive dogs, because it has done this to Grizzly and Sammy in the past, but I don't recall them ever vomiting from it.

Safe to say he won't be fed for 24 hours, and hope Doc will fix him all up.

My poor little fella. frown

Mickey has been having some intestinal disfortitude over the past few days. I've been giving him Immodium (2 mgs) twice a day per vet instructions.

He is suggesting I add Endurosyn for a few days. I've never heard of it, and just wondered if anyone else has used it and what their opinion was of it?

Our house hold is under a lot of stress right now, and it is supposed to be for stress. It is probiotics, also.
