group list and messages in your account, tips and idea's

i clean up groups every six months.
i look and think...
am i happy in this group or not.
is it active?
is it not to active, but still sparkling and i like it there or is it dead?
i remove myself from groups that have no activity.
i stay in groups i like, even if it's not buzzing with activity and i join active groups, because many i know are there and i like to see my friends muzzles.
i also make sure all my furs join different groups...
my pitbul is in pitbul groups,my boxer is in boxer groups and so on and i make sure all the groups i'm in are devided among my pages.
i go into my group messages that always arive in my account,i never let them come to my email account, because there are way to many flea's in that.
i never have flea's with my messages ,while others have it all the time.
i erase the reactions first, unless they are reactions from a post i made.
than i have only the posts to respond on.
i open a second window tab with my account, and go in every group where there was a message and i respond, than erase the message from the group message list..
until i have responded to all the day's messages
and i make sure i'm in not to many grups, rather to be active in three or ten,to never respond in fifty

what i do once every six months in my group!

i will pawmail my administrators and i will ask them if they still want to be administrator or not.
those who say yes,i pawmail with about how much time they can spent in the group and i will give them a thread for their own.
those that say no will be regular members again.
and those that don't repond will be normal members automaticly.
i will take that silence as a no.
than i will look for new administrators.

group forum links,tips and idea's

i make a note on my computer where i post my links and topics and that way i can always copy them for use,i also have group maps on my computer with my group names and i place everything in there that i need or use.
i also clean up the forum once every six months, those that are no longer in use,or have silenced.
and i learned a new thing to keep threads small and easy to sniff thru.
merge threads about the same topics.
try not to create double or similair threads.

shadow administrators...

they will not be listed on the groups page as administrators, but they are in the administrator group working with tips, idea's and stuff for the group.
they make their own times..
you can call them part timers
i only just heard about this, from a pup that does it for some time.
so i'm doing it now as well.
i ask the administrators what they want, administrator or shadow administrator.
if you pick normal administration,do as is expected in a group!
but it's an idea that you either want or not
it's a free option.
it's also a good way to get to know a fur if it'a shadow administrator....and if you never talked that much beforeshrug

the worse thing to do as a founder, but it does happen.
members that behave bad!thinking

first of all, like i did in this group,i make sure members see the group rules in a thread and in group posts.!
if i get a complaint i look very good at the issue...
who are the furs, are they married and now broken up and things like that....furs can get mad at eichother for many reasons and make sure to have a clear open mind to both of the furs, the one that makes the complaint and the one who is accused.
it's like politics.
i know most of the members,so most of the times i all ready knew or know there are problems between furs(it helps as a minister, furs come to me a bit sooner)
than i will pawmail both more than once to bark it either out and tell them to behave in public and most of the times that helps a lot.
but in rare cases it will not help.
than i warn the fur in question.
that i will remove it from the group if i see one more post.
if than i still see the fight going on,or posts that just don't add or comply to the group i will remove you and pawmail you to tell you that.
it is a nasty affair, furs will blaim you and get angry,so make sure you are up to it.
but sadly it is a part of the job as a founder.
administrators that work in the group DO NOT ERASE MEMBERS!
unless the founder asks them to do so
they will talk to the founder with complaints and the founder will make sure things get adressed.
also ,the same rule stands for your administrator.
as an administrator you are a role model of good behavior!
and a administrator that is treating others mean,or worse is treating it's own members mean thru pawmail...that's a big no no.
that is NOT an administrator you want in your team.
it gives you and your group a bad reputation.
than you got members who are bullies.
they are not allowed in your group.
real bullies will not stop or listen, remove them after a complaint, but make sure you ask if the fur in question if they has pawmails with the mean messages.
that way you have proof.
and that's good.
always message a group founder personal with problems...never throw it in the group.
that will trigger a huge dog or cat fight in the open.
and always ,always report it to HQ

returning troublemakers!

i have experienced myself that some trouble makers keep returning to your group!
no matter how many times you erase them from your group, they just rejoin again.
the first i would do is contact HQ!
but in all cases HQ needs proof,in paw mail or groupmail proof that the fur is a real troublemaker.
if you don't have that,HQ will have a difficult time to prohibit a member to join YOUR group, which is your responsibility.
but contact them any way..
it's always good for HQ to know!
and you can always make your group an invite only private group.
that way the troublemakers are kept out and you can see who joins and stuff like that!
