I would like to share this story about an extra large Black Lab that came to us from the black dog syndrome. In Lexington Kentucky there is a kill shelter, where most black dogs are put down because people tend not to adopt black dogs. Our neighbor has physical disabilities and ask for our help to get her a service dog. So we hunted on line until we found a rescue. About one week later Kodiak, who's name at that time was Moe arrived.
He was transported to NH. A 9 month old 95 pd beautiful Black Lab. Here is his link on dogster if anyone would care to see it, http://www.dogster.com/dogs/1004834 He is so calm and gentle our 15 week old pit bull roxy jumps all over him and I can not believe how patient and gentle he is with her. A service dog trainer came to evaluate him yesterday and claimed he has great potential. She was very Impressed by him. In two weeks his training begins. This is a true story about what I see as a great dog.
