OK, the vet put my cat on Rx weight loss food and warned me about the dogs. Here is the thing, my cat is crazy and now he is hungry. So he has been using the doggie door to go outside and bring in "snacks." At first it was just bugs which were gross but I could deal.

In the last two weeks he has brought 2 lizards in the house (one bigggg lizard). The big lizard he didn't kill, instead it got away. I woke up one morning to find him staring under the dog crate. I thought he was just annoying the dog but he wouldn't stop so I picked up the crate thinking he knocked a rubber band or something under there and instead came face to face with the lizard. I slammed the crate down and ran for my life (I really don't like reptiles). By the time I got the courage (and the broom) to go back, the lizard was no longer under the crate. I searched for an hour only to find that it had crawled up onto my bed. I couldn't deal with this and had to call a friend to remove the beast.

A few days later, I bent down to put on my shoe and my cat charged at me and grabbed something. At least this time he went for a smaller sized gecko. Unfortunatley the gecko did not make it. Tommy would not let it go until too late.

So my question is, how do I stop him from finding supplemental food because he is hungry? Any advice will be greatly appreciated, because if I find another lizard in my bed, I may have a heart attack. I can't close the doggie door as my guys are older and cannot hold it.
