Bark for Art is right around the corner and as we head into the event, we are once again reaching out to you and asking for your support. We need BFA to be even more of a success this year. This year it will be THE determining factor as to whether Atlanta Lab Rescue will be able to move forward and save more lives. In just under two years, ALR has rescued close to 600 labs/mixes. Sadly, waiting in the wings, streaming into high kill shelters en masse, dogs are being dumped with little hope of rescue. Our benefactors ARE their lifeline and our success hinges on your support.

Atlanta Lab Rescue’s BARK FOR ART is back for the 5th year on May 16th

Last year we had over 400 in attendance and hope to have 500-600+ this

year. Interestingly enough, we hope to have as many people as number

of dogs we’ve rescued in less than 2 years – that’s 500! With the economy

the way it is, we need your help to spread the word.

BARK FOR ART is a “Gallery Crawl” with live music, cocktails, good food and great company. Check out the website at www.barkforart.org for more

info and to purchase tickets. Endive and Skyy Vodka will be providing food and cocktails. If you have questions, please don’t hesitate to email info@barkforart.org.

We’ve spent far more on average per dog rescued than we could recoup in the adoption fee. Peek in at a litter of throwaway puppies who have broken with parvo and struggling for lives not yet begun...and walk away. Turn your back on a dog that has been chained within an inch of his life, repeatedly attacked and abused or one that’s been hit by a car. Our hearts are invested in EVERY life saved. It is the fundamental reason we are a rescue and the driving force behind every decision we make. We are in the 'business' of saving lives and admittedly compassionate errors have been made along the way. Yes, they have cost us ~ but can you put a price on a life? They are part of our ALR family.

We have streamlined our efforts in order to curb the debt and rescue smarter. We have made great strides in the right direction. However, should we fail to raise the necessary funds to keep us afloat, we will NOT be able to continue. Our rescued dogs have impacted and bettered our lives in countless ways, their counterparts lives hang in the balance every day. Please help us to help them and thank you for your continued support.
