Hi, All! This warning was posted on a rescue group site and I feel Dogsters should be aware of it:

::::::::::Now, it is **vital** to me that folks not get all worked up over this, but it is a cautionary tale.

One of our foster homes has a Cairn of their own who is very very tough on toys. Over the weekend, they became aware that he must have eaten something that was not food and that he was very sick (despite lots of supervision)

They did emergency surgery and removed one whole bulb segment from a **red** kong toy.

I emphasize the red part, because they do make the black ones (Kong Extreme) which are for dogs who are super chewers.

My point being that you need to always stay on your toes - and that if you have a tough chewer, ya may want to invest in some black Kongs !::::::::::::
