I need some ideas before I lose it. My not quite 6 month old brit has decided that taking things out of the garbage and digging up my poor yard is playtime. One other note she has a tendenacy to jump in the show with whomever it in it at the time. I think I have tried just about everything from a rolled up paper to cayanne pepper on the grass (much to my elderly brits dismay). Can someone suggest something anything. She already has a shock collar that works great when we take her to the field by the house but I don't want her to associate it with bad dog.

Hey wish I could help. Mom says its been so long since she had a little one she has no ideas. But I never did get over being in the trash. There is just too much good there. She could be just looking for a little extra attention. little angel

wow, I don't know what to say. Bitty doesn't get into garbage...she's not too forward like that. She is shy. she will dig holes in the back yard at times which drives us nuts and we just yell at her and she knows she did wrong and goes inot her kennal and comes out when she is sorry.
Maybe a very strong "NO" will stop it. Bring her to the garbage and then say "NO" and take her away from it...if she walks back over to it, tell her "NO" again until she gets that the garbage is off limits.
I don't know what else to do.
