Oh no, Rocky! What is the matter? Does it have a name? Or, are they unsure exactly what it is?
Our brother Naz had some weird problem that started with his intestinal tract. He was on steroids too, but it caused a skin-eruption that made him lose his hair and little pellets of calcium to come out of his pores, called calcinosis cutis. Mom has a pic but hasn't scanned it yet. His story is on his page. I know it is something totally different from what you've got going on, but his skin prob WAS from the steroids! He did recover from it once the steroids were discontinued. I am sure your doc is on the ball, but it is something you may want to discuss, and there can be problems from long term steroid use, especially if you need to take any N-said medication! Keep us posted!
). I'm sorry to hear about your sibling. Before I came to live with Ares & my new family, I spent a lot of time outside - regardless of the season. My mom thought that at first the problem was a scar from frostbite, but the vet said no. He is running some other tests to see what exactly it is, but he said for sure it is autoimmume. I'm seeing the vet next week. Keep a happy thought!! Rocky
