My Sweet Greta Died Four Days Ago. Crazy With Grief!!!!

Today my beautiful girl lost her life and frankly I can't wait to join her, thats how bad I miss her. I don't know how I am going to go on and wish I would die in my sleep. Greta was being watched by a friend of mine with my three other dogs because I was in the middle of a move. My dogs were out and about with his dogs and had been together and getting along fine for the five days they were there. On the the sixth and last day. The day we were to pick the dogs up Greta and one of my friends bulldogs got in a fight which left Greta pretty badly beaten up. My friend called and told me what had happened. He asked me if I wanted him to take Greta to the vet. I asked him how bad the injury was and he said just a couple of scrapes,
so I honestly thought that was all. I picked her up around 5:45 that evening. She was pretty badly cut up, but didn't seem to bad. I thought I would just watch her through the night and take her to the vet if she still wasn't better. She actually got worse over the course of a few hours. I rushed her to an emergency vet, to come to find out that from one of the bites she got septic and her kidneys were failing.
The vet told me that they would give her an Iv and three different antibiotics but that really it was a 50/50 chance of making it. She died today at 9:20 am. I will never forgive myself for not taking her to the vet sooner, or better yet insisting on my friend taking her right then and there. It would have saved her life, but instead my stupidity killed her. I am so upset!!! I will never be the same. She was the BEST FRIEND I EVER HAD AND NOW SHE IS GONE!!!!!!! I LOVE YOU GRETA FOR ALWAYS AND FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OMPAW! i'm SOOO Sorry! I lost my baby Casper due to kidney failure in May 2007 and I was just going phsyco crying and blaming myself for all of the bad things I ever did to him and cried myself to sleep every night but now I have another cat named oreo. The hurt is still there and I can't wait to see my darling Casper again and I still cry sometimes! If you wanna talk to me my e-mail is kittykatt94@comcast.net! crycrycrycrycrycryOMG!!!!!!!!! That is the sadess thing I have ever read!!!!!!Poor Greta. It is not all your falt, bulldogs can get pretty aggressive when they want to be. I do feel bad for u. (the scary thing is I feel even bader then when my dog diedred face) Sorry that had to happenfrown
