Hi everyone....I have been reading stories about the ill effects vaccines are having on our dogs/pups. I am so afraid now to have my babies vaccinated with their annual vaccines. Murphy is due for his shots after January 25TH....If I don't get his vaccines he is not able to be in a kennel without the bordetella vaccine, he must have a rabies vaccine for our township. Do we are pet owners have a right to decline vaccines and still be permitted to either take our pups to a groomer or kennel w/o the bordetella shor tor rabies shot? How safe are Frontline and Heartguard? Please help me understand this. Thanks so much.

Hi Murphy,

My mom accepts that I can never be kenneled or go to doggie daycares in exchange for not risking my health with vaccines. I get titer tested every year, but most places still want you to have the vaccines. Luckily, I never need a groomer because of my short coat & mom does my nails for me.

It's terrible that dog owners are put in that position.

REGARDING THE VACCINES AND TITERING. HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO DO A TITER TEST? SAY YOU WANT TO DO A TITER, DO THEY CHARGE YOU FOR EACH INDIVIDUAL DISEASE. I DID ASK MY VET ABOUT TITERING AND IT IS ROUGHLY 100 PER TITER. I WAS JUST WONDERING IF THAT IS THE SAME WITH OTHER STATES AND OTHER VETS.
I KNOW THAT IF I WERE TO BOARD MY GUYS, THEY WOULD BE VACCINED AS SOME OF THOSE DISEASE ARE DEADLY, ESPECIALLY THE PARVO. KENNEL COUGH IS HORRIBLE AND I KNOW MOST KENNELS, GROOMERS SHOULD NOT ACCEPT AN ANIMAL WHO HAS NOT BEEN VACCINED.
I DO NOT VACCINE MY GUYS, AS WE NEVER GO AWAY. PLUS, BRUTUS HAS SKIN ISSUES AND THE LESS GOING IN IS BETTER. I ALSO DO NOT USE ANY TICK OR FLEA APPLICATIONS. HAVE YOU EVER READ THE BACK OF SOME OF THOSE DIRECTIONS. THE HUMAN IS TO WEAR GLOVES DURING APPLICATION. WHAT DOES THAT TELL YOU ABOUT HOW STRONG THE CHEMICALS ARE. THOSE CHEMICALS AND POISONS ARE GOING DIRECTLY INTO YOUR DOGS BLOOD STREAM.
I AM MORE CAUTIOUS NOW THAN EVER AS I HAVE HAD TWO DOGS DIE FROM CANCER, AND I AM CONVINCED IT IS FROM OVER VACCINATING, FLEA AND TICK OINTMENT AND OTHER POOR FOOD PRODUCTS.

My dogs always got vaccinated when they had to. The one year we opted against Bordetella for Dahlila she ran off and ended up at the animal shelter where she picked up Kennel Cough. Trust me when I say that it is much better to have the vaccine then the virus.

Now Lizzie the cat on the other hand was only vaccinated for rabies, and feline Leukemia.
