I'll start the bragging! This year I earned everything that I have a title for so far. I earned my CD, RN, RA, RE, and my Championship title!! 2007 was a great year for me and my mom.

I got my CGC, RN and RA this year. Two first places and one 3rd place. I could have done more, but my mom is soooo lazy. She doesn't like driving to shows more than an hour away and she is always grumbling about having to get up early. Jeez! wink

Sandy earned her U-CD, RA, RL1X, ARCh, and still has one more trail to go.

Bailey earned his CL1, CL2-H, NJC, and TN-N.

Kayla earned her RL1MCL, CL1-S, and still had one more trial.

With the new puppy (Kayla) we put more energy into training. Next year we should blast through a bunch more title. The APDT National Rankings are due out at the close of the year, so we'll report back with that. Sandy should retain her ranking and Kay should post well also.

Gio earned his RNMCL and got HIT at his first ever rally trial with a score of 198. He got his CGN and was certified as a therapy dog with St. John Ambulance (SJATD). He also earned his Herding Instinct Certificate at 5 years old having never seen a sheep up until test day! Just a few weeks ago he earned his first Rally Advanced Q.

All of this amid a diagnosis of idiopathic epilepsy and dealing with all the mess and medications that come along with it.

Romeo ('brother' to Gio, who I just realized wasn't in this group yet!) had a BIG year! He came to live with us in May at 9 months old as a nearly blank slate. In that time he has ...

- been in training and began competing in flyball
- been in training and began competing in CARO rally-o. His first trial was just a few weeks ago where he cleaned up! He took a 1st place and a 2nd place and qualified in all 3 novice rounds with scores of 199, 196, and 196. Only one judge so no title yet.
- earned his Herding Instinct Certificate at 10 months of age

After our final trial Sandy earned her RE and reitred from AKC. Kayla has her first let towards her RN with a 97 and is ranked #7 dog at level 2 in the APDT National Rankings. We're heading to Kay's frist UKC obedience trial this weekend.

Storm got his CD and RN in 2007; both were earned in three trials and with placements ranging from 1st to 4th. More importantly, he overcame a lot of hurdles related to pre-rescue life in order to earn those titles. He also got a lot of really nice compliments. smile

I have a brag, too - last year I was voted in as the Obedience Committee chair for the Bearded Collie Club of Southern California. I've been writing articles for the newsletters and generally encouraging my Beardie friends to get involved in Obedience and Rally - two activities where our breed is noticably absent.
