Snorting and Snuffling?

Do I smell- hotdogs?

Hi there! My little havanese (7 mos) has been snorting in and out lately every so often (sometimes on walks or while eating, other times, for no good reason, while at rest!) Vet is giving meds treating for sinus infection due to the snorting, sneezing and elevated fever but meds don't seem to be working. The snorting panics me as he breathes faster than normal and snorts in and out for about 20-30 seconds, then all goes back to normal. Anyone else ever experience this with their little one? confused

My Havanese dogs this too. I had her checked out for everything, had her on similar meds, had her throat checked out. In the end, the vet said there isn't anything they can do. I just calm her down, rub her neck till it goes away. It's pretty strange, but she doesn't seem worse for wear.

My havenese does this as well. I have two other dogs with long hair who he plays with alot, so I always just figured it was hairballs or eating bird seed off the floor. It doesnt seem to hurt him any and it isn't to bad so I havent worried about it too much. If it gets worse or more often I might take him in to get checked out, but right now it doesnt seem to bother him much.
